Arrival in Manali: Self-Exploration of Manali

Manali to Sarchu via Atal Tunnel Distance: 175 km | Duration: 7–8 Hours

• Cover around 175 km on the Leh-Manali Highway with breathtaking scenery.

• Enter the Atal Tunnel to reach Lahaul Valley.

DAY 3

Journey from Sarchu to Leh via Moore Plains Distance: 260 km | Duration: 7–8 Hours

• Wake up and get ready in your camps for the adventurous journey from Sarchu to Leh after breakfast.

• Collect your bike and begin the journey to Leh.

• Experience the thrill of conquering the famous Gata Loops (21 hairpin bends at 4669 m).

• Cross Nakee-La (4738 m) and Lachung-La (5065 m).

• Quick stop for lunch at Pang.

• Continue the journey through the Moore Plains, a straight road stretching over 50 km.

DAY 4

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Distance: 125 km | Duration: 5–6 Hours

• Wake up to a pleasant morning in Leh and have a delicious breakfast.

• Get ready for the exciting journey on one of the highest motorable roads.

• Ride to Nubra Valley, located between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges.

• Stop at the iconic Shanti Stupa for a mesmerizing view of Leh.

• Continue to Khardung-La Pass (5359 m) – one of the world’s highest motorable passes.

• Ride through stunning landscapes to reach Diskit.

• Stop at the Diskit Monastery, famous for its 106-feet Maitreya Buddha statue.

DAY 5

Nubra to Pangong via Shyok Valley Distance: 160 km | Duration: 5–6 Hours

• Wake up in Nubra Valley and get ready for the journey to the famous Pangong Tso.

• Cross the charming Agam and Shyok villages.

• Admire the majestic views of Pangong Lake – the highest saltwater lake in the world (4 km wide, 136 km long, 4300 m altitude).

• Spend time around the lake, admire the reflection of surrounding mountains, and click pictures at the famous 3 Idiots set.

DAY 6

Pangong to Hanle via Rezang La War Memorial Distance: 165 km | Duration: 8–9 Hours

• Wake up to the stunning views of Pangong Lake and have breakfast.

• Begin your journey towards the picturesque Hanle village.

• Pass Chushul and stop at Rezang La War Memorial, built to honor brave soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War.

• Cross Loma Bridge on the Indus River, ride through rugged landscapes, and reach Hanle by evening.

DAY 7

Day Excursion to Umling La Distance: ~150 km | Duration: 7–8 Hours

• En route, cross Photi La (5524 m).

DAY 8

Hanle to Tso Moriri via Kyagar Tso Distance: ~155 km | Duration: 6–7 Hours

• Post breakfast, get ready to explore another stunning high-altitude lake.

• Ride to the picturesque Tso Moriri Lake, home to migratory birds and rare flora & fauna.

• Cross Loma Bridge, turn left towards Mahe, and stop at Kyagar Tso – a scenic lake.

• Continue to Tso Moriri – India's highest and largest saltwater lake (4522 m).

• Spend time by the lake witnessing changing hues, then head to your stay for dinner.

DAY 9

Tso Moriri to Sarchu via Puga Valley Distance: ~220 km | Duration: 9–10 Hours

• Wake up to beautiful views and have breakfast.

• Begin your journey to Sarchu.

• Stop to explore Puga Valley, known for hot springs and geothermal activity.

• Continue to Tso Kar for a stop to see white salt deposits.

• Join the Manali-Leh road and pass Lachung-La (5065 m) and Nakee-La (4738 m).

DAY 10

Sarchu to Manali via Atal Tunnel Distance: 175 km | Duration: 5–6 Hours

• Have breakfast and prepare to return to Manali.

• Ride through Darcha, Jispa, Keylong, and Sissu.
