Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between you ("Client" or "you") and Wantigo Travels ("Wantigo Travels," "company," "we," or "us"). By booking any tour or service with Wantigo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Company Information
Wantigo Travels is a registered company under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006. We offer a range of travel services, including:

• Group travel

• Customized trips

• Backpacking and biking trips across India and international destinations

Scope of Services
Our services include but are not limited to:

• Group Travel: Organized tours for groups to various destinations.

• Customized Trips: Tailor-made itineraries for individuals or groups.

• Backpacking and Biking Trips: Adventure-oriented and budget-friendly trips.

 

Booking and Payment Terms

• Booking Confirmation: A deposit is required to secure your booking. Quotes are tentative and subject to availability and pricing. Changes to inclusions will be communicated within 72 hours (excluding weekends/holidays).

• Payment Policy: Payment must be made as per the provided policy (Annexure A). INR payments only, using credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or online gateways.

• Failure to Pay: May result in booking cancellation.

• Government Compliance: 20% TCS applicable on international travel payments exceeding ₹7 lakhs/year.

• Forfeiture Clause: Uninformed cash deposits in Wantigo’s account will be forfeited.

• Note: Terms may vary for domestic/short/long haul trips (see Annexure A).

 

Pricing and Inclusions

• Pricing Policy: Prices are based on current availability and foreign exchange rates and may change.

• Inclusions/Exclusions: Included services will be listed in your booking confirmation. Anything not mentioned is excluded.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellation by Client: Must be in writing. Charges apply as per policy (Annexure A). Refunds processed within 7–10 working days.

• Credit Notes: May be issued in place of refunds.

• Non-Refundable Charges: Non-negotiable, even in visa rejection.

• Travel Documents Responsibility: Clients must review all details beforehand.

 

Itinerary Changes

• Modification by Wantigo: We may alter itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances and will notify you.

• Group Tours: Subject to a minimum of 12 full-paying members. Refunds/credit notes issued as needed.

• On-Tour Changes: Possible due to natural or safety concerns.

 

Travel Insurance

• Mandatory: Strongly recommended to cover cancellations, emergencies, baggage loss.

• Medical Conditions: Must be disclosed; we may require a fitness certificate.

 

Health and Safety

• Requirements: Clients are responsible for health requirements (e.g., vaccinations).

• Guidelines: Follow all safety instructions or risk removal without refund.

• Adventure Activities: Done at client’s own risk.

 

Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

• Client Responsibility: Valid documents are your responsibility.

• Visa Assistance: Provided, but visa approval is not guaranteed.

• OTB Requirement: May apply to ECR passport holders.

• Document Validity: Passport must be valid 6+ months after return.

 

Airline Guidelines

• Delays/Cancellations: Handled by the airline, not Wantigo.

• Baggage: Responsibility lies with the airline.

• Additional Charges: Government taxes and surcharges are extra.

• Flight Meals: Vary by airline type (LCCs may not include meals).

 

Accommodation Guidelines

• Check-In/Out: Typically 3 PM/11 AM. Extra charges may apply.

• Room Allocation: Varies by region and category. Damages are the client’s responsibility.

• Additional Charges: Must be settled directly with the hotel.

• Hotel Changes: May occur due to unforeseen events.

 

Transfers and Sightseeing

• Transfers: As per itinerary. Be punctual to avoid disruption.

• Sightseeing: May change based on local conditions.

• Self-Arranged Transfers: May apply for custom trips.

 

Limitation of Liability

• Third-Party Services: We act as intermediaries and are not liable for third-party faults.

• Force Majeure: We’re not responsible for disruptions due to natural or political events.

• Belongings: We’re not liable for loss/damage of personal items.

 

Conduct and Behavior

• Code of Conduct: Respect local laws/customs. Misconduct can result in service termination.

• Responsibility for Damages: Clients are liable for damages caused during the trip.

 

Privacy and Data Protection

• Data Collection: In accordance with IT Act, 2000 & GDPR.

• Data Sharing: With third parties for service fulfillment only.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• Legal Compliance: Under Indian laws and Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

• Complaints: Contact us immediately for resolution.

• Disputes: Resolved via mediation/arbitration. Jurisdiction is Delhi.

 

Amendments to Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use means acceptance of updates.
Acceptance of Terms
Booking with Wantigo means you accept these Terms in full.

Miscellaneous

• Severability: Invalid provisions don’t affect remaining terms.

• Entire Agreement: This document is the full agreement.

 

Special Conditions

• Short/Long Haul: Policies differ; refer to Annexure A.

• International Compliance: Clients must comply with destination laws.

• Customized Trips: Client-requested changes may incur costs.

 

Force Majeure Clause

• Events Covered: Natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, etc.

• Rights/Obligations: We may cancel and offer a refund minus non-refundable fees.

 

Annexure A – Short & Long Haul Destinations
Short Haul: India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Dubai, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, etc.
Long Haul: Europe, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, South America, Jordan, Israel, etc.
