How Your Itinerary Will Look -
DAY 1: Arrival in Bagdogra – Transfer to Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet our representative for your transfer to Bhutan.
Drive to Jaigaon, the last Indian border town, before entering Bhutan.
Complete permit formalities upon arrival in Phuentsholing.
Check in to your hotel.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
DAY 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Travel to the Capital
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Thimphu.
Journey through mountain roads, forests, waterfalls, and quaint villages.
En route, stop at Chuzom Bridge to witness the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers.
Arrive in Thimphu by evening and check in.
If time permits, explore the local markets.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.
DAY 3: Thimphu Local Sightseeing
Have breakfast at the hotel and start sightseeing:
National Memorial Chorten – Tomb of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Buddha Dordenma – One of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world.
Simtokha Dzong – A historic 17th-century fortress.
Royal Takin Preserve – See Bhutan's national animal, the takin.
Tashichho Dzong – Seat of the Royal Government since 1962.
DAY 4: Thimphu to Punakha – Via Dochula Pass
After breakfast, depart for Punakha (75 km east of Thimphu).
Stop at Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views and tea.
Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, built in memory of soldiers from “Operation All Clear.”
Embark on a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility).
Overnight stay in Punakha.
DAY 5: Punakha to Paro – Sightseeing Around Paro
After breakfast, drive to Paro (approx. 4 hours).
Upon arrival, check in and rest briefly.
Visit:
Drukgyel Dzong – 17th-century fortress marking Bhutan's victory over Tibet.
Kyichu Lhakhang – One of Bhutan's oldest and holiest temples.
Overnight stay in Paro.
DAY 6: Hike to Tiger’s Nest – Visit the National Museum
After breakfast, head to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) – Bhutan’s most iconic site.
Hike 2–4 hours through pine forests to reach the cliffside monastery.
Spend time soaking in the serene atmosphere and meditative chants.
Return to Paro and visit the National Museum of Bhutan (optional).
Overnight stay in Paro.
DAY 7: Paro to Siliguri – Scenic Road Journey
After breakfast, begin your return journey by road.
Cross back into India via Phuentsholing.
Reach Siliguri by evening and check in.
Overnight stay in Siliguri.
DAY 8: Departure – Siliguri to Bagdogra Airport
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra Airport.
