Imagine walking on bamboo bridges, exploring magical caves, and visiting stunning waterfalls—all with new friends by your side!
Meghalaya is known as the “Abode of Clouds,” and during the monsoon, it looks even more beautiful with lush green forests and sparkling rivers. You will get to see amazing places like Umiam Lake, the living root bridges, and the mighty Nohkalikai Falls. Along with these, we are also going to explore the mystic Arwah caves and a few stunning viewpoints.

DAY 1 – Arrival in Guwahati. Transfer to Shillong via Umiam Viewpoint.
Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (arrive before 11:30 AM).
Have breakfast and then board transfers to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
Enjoy the scenic ride with a short lunch stop on the way.
Photo stop at Umiam Lake viewpoint for stunning views and pictures.
Reach Shillong by evening, check-in to hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2 – Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trek Excursion. Walk over bamboo bridges.
Post breakfast, transfer to Wahkhen Village (~2 hours from Shillong).
Trek the famous Bamboo trail of Meghalaya, crossing narrow bamboo bridges suspended over deep gorges and rivers.
Cross small streams, bamboo forest, and thick jungle.
Reach summit at U Mawryngkhang rock (“King of Stones”), enjoy views and local legend.
Return to Wahkhen Village and transfer back to Shillong. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 – Transfer to Cherrapunji via Laitlum Canyons. Explore waterfalls and caves.
After breakfast, transfer to Laitlum Grand Canyons and enjoy valley views.
Visit Lyngksiar Waterfalls and spend leisure time.
Explore mystical Arwah Cave and its rock formations.
Quick lunch stop.
Visit famous Nohkalikai Falls and hear the local legend of “Ka Likai.”
Check-in to resort and overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
DAY 4 – Day trip to Double-Decker Living Root Bridges.
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Tyrna village.
Trek to double-decker living root bridges in Nongriat village.
Short stop at single root bridge on the way.
Descend 3300 steps to double-decker bridges, spend time admiring, walking, clicking pictures, and swimming in pond below.
Hike back to Tyrna and transfer to Cherrapunji. Overnight stay.
DAY 5 – Explore popular places around Cherrapunji. Transfer to Shillong.
Visit Kynrem Falls (3-tiered waterfall).
Visit Bangladesh Viewpoint for panoramic views of Bangladesh plains.
See Seven Sisters Waterfall (Nohsngithiang Falls), a spectacular monsoon waterfall.
Lunch stop.
Transfer to Shillong with photo stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point.
Evening free to explore Shillong local markets. Overnight stay.
DAY 6 – Departure. Transfer to Guwahati via Umiam Lake.
After breakfast, pack and start transfer to Guwahati.
Leisure stop at Umiam Lake for photos and relaxation.
Continue to Guwahati airport for onward journey.
Trip concludes with fond memories of Meghalaya monsoon adventure.
